Are we truly religious, or have we been taught what to believe?
SAYONS
Most of us grow up learning about religion, traditions and beliefs from our families and the society around us. For many, these beliefs become an important part of life.
But have we ever stopped to ask ourselves why we believe what we believe?
Would we follow the same religion if we had been born into a different family or culture? Does questioning our beliefs make us less religious, or does it help us understand our faith better?
Some people find meaning and peace in the religion they grew up with. Others explore their beliefs over time and arrive at their own understanding.
How much of what we believe comes from our upbringing, and how much comes from our own reflection and experience?
Share your perspective respectfully. You don't have to agree with everyone to have a meaningful conversation.
